The dictionary app
The dictionaries app allows you to search a general Welsh dictionary Cysgair,
as well as several standard terminology dictionaries. These currently include the Education Termiadur, which includes a standard terminology for school age education, as well as the Coleg Cymraeg's Dictionary of Terms, which focus on terminology for higher education subjects. Extra dictionaries can also be searched from the terminology portal of the Portal Terms from inside the app when you are online.
The features of the app include:
Easily search for English or Welsh laven
Show each entry for a specific Welsh or English principal
Ability to find related records
Getting a English or Welsh user interface, with the ability to change the language in the settings.
The Dictionaries app was developed by Bangor University's Language Technologies Unit. The development of the Education Termiadur is funded by the Welsh Government. The Coleg Cymraeg's Dictionary of Terms is funded by the Coleg Cymraeg Cenedlaethol.
