Each game contains two sets of dictionaries:
1) The regular base dictionary
2) The BoWords® GAME THEME dictionary
If you play a word from the regular dictionary, you score points like other word/tile games. If you play words from the GAME THEME dictionary, not only do you score points, but you total score gets multiplied by the value associated with the word.
GAME THEME words include abbreviations, acronyms, lingo, non-English words, phrases and proper names associated with the GAME THEME.
BoMoves are advantages that allow a player to:
- Get an extra Wild Card
- Get an 8th Tile
- Exchange Tiles without losing a turn
- Skip an opponent’s turn
- Sneak a Peek at your opponent’s tiles
- Each BoMove uses 1 BoBuck (credit)
The key differences between BoWords and other word/tile games:
- Choose from dozens of GAME THEMES
- Wild Cards take the value of the letter they are used for
- Use all the tiles in your rack on a turn (including the end of game) and get a 42 point bonus
