Winscribe MD for Android™, the dictation application for healthcare professionals, helps physicians to use their voice to complete patient examination reports and other documentation requirements on the move. Designed for Android smartphones and tablets, Winscribe MD for Android incorporates an advanced scheduling system that allows physicians to view a live feed of their appointments, including patient details, on their smartphone or tablet. It allows you to immediately start a recording against a patient record with a single tap. Winscribe MD is different from other voice to text or dictation applications on the Android marketplace, as it is part of a wider dictation workflow solution that integrates directly into hospital information systems via a HL7 interface.
The integration of Winscribe's dictation workflow engine with a hospital's information system ensures the smooth flow of information between systems. Without the need for re-keying information, turnaround targets for important documents such as discharge summaries, pathology and oncology reports can be more consistently achieved.
Traditionally, the less than optimal Wi-Fi coverage in many hospital environments has been a barrier to a more widespread adoption of mobile technology. Winscribe MD provides a solution: Reports can be securely sent via encrypted 3G, 4G or super-fast LTE connections. If data transfer costs via mobile networks are undesirable, Wi-Fi only modus can be enabled. In areas where no Wi-Fi connection is present, dictation jobs are stored and automatically uploaded once connectivity is regained.
Further features of Winscribe's dictation app for healthcare providers include:

Transmission of dictation files occurs via HTTPS protocol to ensure the highest levels of patient confidentiality. Enhanced visibility and control gives users the ability to view where jobs are at in the transcription process, and modify workflows accordingly. Voice data is securely encrypted on the devices' SD card and device lock down options are included.
Winscribe MD is designed to run on all Android phones with touchscreen capabilities on OS 4.0.3 or higher, and a Secure Digital (SD) card, as well as on Android Tablets.
